Yesterday, when I headed out for my walk, I noticed a group of people doing yoga on the lawn near the coffee shop. I found out the class is held every morning at 8 a.m., so I decided to join them the next day. There were about a dozen people there, and the instructor did a wonderful job leading us through a 30-minute flow. It was such a gorgeous spot for yoga—looking up at the brilliant blue sky, fluffy white clouds, and swaying palm trees. It was definitely warm and I worked up a sweat, but it was still absolutely lovely.

After yoga, I had breakfast and then went back to the room to wash out a few items of clothing and hung them out to dry. I spent the rest of the morning reading my book poolside. When Jim got back we went to lunch at the World Cafe for lunch. Jim wanted to go to main dive shop to buy a shirt. It is located at Lions Dive resort on Mambo Beach and he had not seen that area yet, so we walked to Mambo beach. There are a ton of shops and plenty of stuff to purchase. The Curacao Sea Aquarium is also located right there. We considered going in but it was pretty pricy and it didn’t seem worth it. Instead we had went Hemingway’s, a beach bar / restaurant that was right on the water and had a drink and an appetizer. It was now the afternoon heat of the day and really time to get back to the resort. The heat really takes it out of you. So we went home and took a little nap.

The first night here we had dinner at Oceania and had really loved it. The portion size was perfect and it tasted great! So we decided to eat there again. It was still good the second time, but not as good as that first night. Probably because we were starving and tired that first night.

After dinner, a big group of us gathered by the coffee shop, and the Boonstras taught us a card game called Sweep! It’s a really different game with lots of rules, but it’s great for including a bunch of people— you just keep adding more decks as you go.

When we finally headed to bed, the music from Lions Dive Resort next door was blaring. It went on well into the night, and just when I thought it couldn’t get any louder, they started FIREWORKS at midnight. OMG, it was so loud. It ended up being a pretty miserable night of sleep.
