Cooking in the apartment was somewhat of a challenge. We had one frying pan that was really bowed on the bottom so it would not sit flat. I either had to hold the handle or prop it up with a glass. So scrambled eggs were pretty much all I cooked. It was easy to get cheese, eggs and we got onions and red peppers.
San Telmo
We walked in the market for about 3 hours. It is incredibly long and has lots of vendors with many unique items. It truly is a mass of humanity! I think the market is only on Sundays. Even though I had been there last week with Katie and Nicola there will still lots of unique items to see and people watching was amazing! I loved seeing the couple dancing the tango!!
After the market we walked back through the Plaza Mayor and then back up to the Obelisk. It was much quieter on the streets so easier to walk and better to take photos.
One of the main reasons it was so quite was because it was Mother's Day in Argentina. So we saw lots of families strolling together along the streets. Nicola was going back to her host family house tonight since she had school the next morning. But we ate an ealry dinner together at a resturant called Pertutti. It was really good! I had a steak and potatoes, Jim had a great pasta with mushrooms and cream sauce. After dinner we walked Nicola back to her house which was about ten blocks away. Then we made our way back to our apartment. It was basically the first time we walked around BA by ourselves. We planned our route and were pleased when we made it home without getting lost.
