Beautiful Sunsets – Travel with the Tades

We wake up pretty early but we also go to sleep around 9 pm. So I have been averaging 8 to 9 hours of sleep per night. I feel like I have caught up after our first very long day! We had granola and fruit for breakfast and got ready to go for our dive / snorkel at 9 am. There were 2 other divers with Jim; a Dad and daughter from North Carolina. There were no other snorkelers but Francesca had someone to guide me. Her name is Sierra and she is Canadian as well.

The water was pretty choppy this morning. It was hardest on the body getting in and out of the boat. Once you are in the water with your head down it was beautiful and crystal clear. We saw tons of coral and tropical fish but the best of all was that we saw a green sea turtle. It swam along side us for a least 10 minutes and got very close to me. I was quite surprised it was not afraid of us at all. But there were no others snorkelers with Sierra and I and we were calmly floating in the water so I think with no threat to him, he just kept up his daily activities. It was of course a boon for me!

After lunch we decided to explore a little more of the island. At the top of our street (Tamarind Drive) is a tower that has a great view of the west end of the island. After driving by it about 6 times, we decided we needed to go up and take a look.

We went up about three, winding flights to get to the top. It was incredibly hot in the tower, but once we got out on the deck it was very nice!

We decide to explore West End. We saw the colors of the setting sun yesterday and new we needed to try and capture it.

After drinks and a nice dinner we made our way back home. This video will give you an idea of how crazy steep Tamarind drive is.
